I founded Rachel Clement Sea Glass Accessories from a love for the ocean, handmade craftsmanship, and faith that sees beauty in transformation.
Walking along the beaches of Barbados, I began collecting sea glass — pieces once broken and discarded, yet polished over time by the waves.
Inspired by their beauty, I began transforming them into jewelry so others could wear a small treasure from the sea.
"He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds."
Psalm 147:3
Rachel Clement Sea Glass Accessories was founded by Rachel Clement-Scott, a Barbadian creative with a deep love for the ocean and a heart for meaningful design.
"What began as peaceful walks along the shores of Barbados slowly became a calling to something far more meaningful. l was drawn to the beauty of pieces once discarded, now softened and refined by time and tide. To me, sea glass became a powerful reminder that even what is broken or overlooked can be transformed into something beautiful and purposeful, a living reflection of God’s work in our lives.
At just 19 years old, I began my beachcombing journey in Speightstown, St. Peter. Over time, this quiet practice became my place of peace, joy, calm and purpose. As I began mentoring teen girls, beachcombing turned into a way to help them navigate emotional challenges—traveling around the island together, collecting sea glass, to find stillness and healing along the shore.
Sea glass has always symbolized transformation for me—trauma into beauty, brokenness into renewal. For over 20 years, I have worked in this medium, creating unique accessories and art that speak to island life, pride of heritage, and cultural identity. Each piece carries a story shaped by time, tide, and intention.
Through wire wrapping techniques and thoughtful design, I transform these ocean-shaped treasures into wearable reminders of identity, resilience, and faith. No two pieces are ever the same—just as no two journeys are alike.
My designs are inspired by island life, simplicity, and the belief that God creates with intention. I help you express your emotions through accessories and create memories.
This brand is more than jewelry to me—it is a testimony of transformation, purpose, and beauty shaped over time. Whether you are carrying a piece of home, a memory of Barbados, or a symbol of your own journey, my hope is that each creation brings peace, meaning, and connection.
Rachel Clement Sea Glass Accessories is truly a family journey. The distinctive teal packaging is created by my sister, Dominique, who officially joined the team in 2022. Friends and family who once walked the beaches with me remain part of the beachcombing tradition to this day."
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.”
Romans 8:28 (KJV)
Just like sea glass—shaped by time and tide—we are refined for a greater purpose.
